1.
Now understand, that it's a heart of gold but they will not know. For it's only once you're gone that they show. Hold your breath and dance with me. Make believe, my heart and soul are worth their weight in gold but my lucky break has already sold. If you hear my name it will be too late.
2.
I counted back from twenty Mississippi.  I let the chips fall as they very well please. By the time you even spoke my name, it was already too late and I know that you will miss us.  You'll miss us.  By the time the dialogue fades. Heaven comes and heaven goes away.  This is a fight.  Hold on to the voices in your head.  Standing up under the weight of it all and I'm hoping they see me soon after the storm but then "hope" is a four letter word I wrote on my fingers when nothing else even came close.  I'm restless but I'm making it out.  Stand up and make a sound.  I'm standing alone but I'm making it out. Stand up and make a sound.  I feel like everybody else is gone.  I could have been anyone from anywhere but I chose to be me from right here.
3.
I hope you hear my song.  I'd rather burn out than to fade away but all the damage is done.  The dramatic one has gone away. I never wanted to lie but tell them I'm doing fine.  Tell them I'll be okay and maybe I'll be alright.  The saddest songs that I wrote, are how I wish you were here. I said all of my soul, I laid it all on the radio.  Oh how I wish you could say, well done to me.  Without any words I can hear your name. It's a different verse but the song is the same.  I've paid my dues but the bills all remain for us. I can hope for the best but I''m anxious to see.  This revolution is small but it matters to me.  I wanted it all but you wanted to breathe.  I can never understand why you wanted to bleed for us. All I've ever known is another world where I am not alone.  Will my heart just allow you to breathe.  I wish you were here, that's all.
4.
Here we go, I've got nothing but love for you. My bad, I was opening doors for you. My heart speaks again and again until we understand that it's never enough for you. Why can't you masquerade me? Why can't you understand me? We know not today what tomorrow may bring. It may bring sunshine or rain. Stand still, I've got nothing everlasting. They got their lucky break. God bless their lucky break. It's got the strength of one thousand strangers. Broken hearts? I got you. False starts? I got you. My bad, I was merely trying to dance with you. My bad, I was only trying to tell the truth. Surprise I can barely even look at you because I'm moving so fast I've got one hundred thousand things to do. My past has voices that stand on their own two feet.

No Montage 02:55
My hands are weak. I'm a soldier with no war. Good fathers are hard to hold once they are gone. It's the hardest time that I've ever known. I love you all but wise men say that violent roads, we make. Close all of your eyes. The future is so bright but they've sold all their youth for fame and yet I can't recall their names. Never. That's not the end. We can make it our own. We've got a long, long way down and a long, long way to go. It's something to hold Something to fight Something to show.

No Apologies 04:09
It's a lost cause to try and understand it all so act natural. My fair-weather friends, only the young die good, it's true, and vice versa. Dare I say, I should have been a bad guy. The easy way out. Now everyone settled down. If it wasn't me, it would be somebody else. These words I can't stop, whether glory or ghost, but I find that it's a novel approach. Love is a war and I'll take it too far. Act natural. When they take me away, what songs will they play? I can't deny that I hope it's alright and I hope it is something true but when the lights go down, the shadows grow larger than life. It's hard to pretend that it doesn't make sense but I'm betting on something else. They warn you of the wolves but they don't warn you about the sheep. I started buying tears back in early spring. I've got the blues but the blues ain't got me. In fact, we all fall asleep in act three. So I'd like to panic but I ain't got the time. If you give them eight eyes they will ask for nine. Are you my killer or are you my lover? Please make yourself known. Our shadows are only getting longer and it seems as though you are all alone. I understand you have a job to do and that's okay. It almost makes sense what you're trying to say. Almost. My struggles are long, so it's a good thing my attention span is so short. A whole lot of feedback can really help distort all the pain and problems and insignificant fears. If I weren't laughing, I would be crying. Still bright after all these years.
7.
In 100 hours I'll fade away. I was better off yesterday. Maybe I will disagree. Maybe I can't stay away. Gun smoke, and then we are gone. We've overstayed our welcome. It's greater now than it's ever been but at 12:01 it'll be gone again. I'm one life away from everywhere that I want to be. When can I see you again? I don't know if I ever will. I'm afraid and so are you. A little help is overdue. I'm never done, mentally. Lemon law? Predictably. This is just a rest. Give it time, because it's only in your mind.
8.
My flag is down. My hands have shrunk. Never fear, for I shall die, long before I'm gone. Now listen at me. My head is shaking. No one knows they're fading but don't give in. Repair. Breathe the life right on.
9.
My mistake, I never should've had it all. I've got to say, I can't leave well enough alone. The distances erased. Can you understand me now? Shake a leg. I hope you get all that you want. Break a leg. Go before the curtains close. Maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm wrong. Death is quick but it can last so long. Hear the truth or make it up. The choice is yours but I shall not be late. So let the kids sing. We never underestimate the voices in a crowded room.
10.
Take your sweet time. Don't forget to breathe. Shake your leaves but don't shake the tree. I see you suffering but I don't see you laughing. We've got lovers in the war taking their time. Take your sweet time, don't hurry up because of me. I know it's a mistake but it's one that I will have to make. Life's too short to be in the fast lane. I thought I heard you knocking or was it me? Your smile is violent. I see you but do you see me? Take my heart because you can't just have a piece. All we are is all we need. I believe in you but I don't know how much I believe in me. Even if you could just breathe inside my mouth one more time I could feel you. I could hold you up in my mind like I saw the light. I am what I am and that's all you need to know as I place my guts on the floor and let you see it all. I've got more demons in my back than I got angels in my front. It's all I know. Was that Your voice I heard or was it just an echo? I've been stuck in the forest too long and I can't sing about anything else. I've got memories that have never even crossed my shelf. I hope you can die with me. I hope you can breathe easy. The future is not what it seems but I hope we've got songs to sing. After the sticks click we all explode into one. We never know what's going to happen that's why we keep our eyes open. Such is life. Staring back at my hands terrified. We can't just close our eyes. We can't just close our minds. We take off our hands we shake all of our feet. We've got lovers in the sea that I don't know but their dreams they can definitely sing. It's been said, "Keep moving on." I guess that's it, I've got lyrics that don't mean anything to you but they mean so much to me. We hold out our hands, we hold all our dreams We've got different thoughts. It doesn't make it wrong it makes it right. We can love each other. We can grab each other's hands because we have songs that need to be sung. We have fights that need to be fought. The fight of peace. We can wage war against the war of hate. At least in my dreams I still believe we can.
