It's a lost cause to try and understand it all so act natural.

I can't deny that I hope it's alright and I hope it is something true but when the lights go down, the shadows grow larger than life.
It's hard to pretend that it doesn't make sense but I'm betting on something else.

I started buying tears back in early spring.
I've got the blues but the blues ain't got me.
In fact, we all fall asleep in act three.
So I'd like to panic but I ain't got the time.

My struggles are long, so it's a good thing my attention span is so short.
A whole lot of feedback can really help distort all the pain and problems and insignificant fears.
If I weren't laughing, I would be crying.
Still bright after all these years.
